This quilt by Jo Griffith is brought alive by the wonderful fabrics chosen for the woman's hair, and carnival feeling in the fabric choices. Distorted blocks are used in the streamers around the figure. This quilt is shown finished and was juried into PIQF 2004.

Traditionals Transformed: Give an old favorite a new twist - take a traditional block and tweak it. Class time will be mostly spent on learning to distort blocks and learning the patternless freeform piecing technique.
