Student Work
Wendy Knight, working from a photo of her son in a hockey game, started this project at Asilomar 2003. Since then, she has worked it further using the techniques she learned to complete the figure. Inking the face under the hockey mask proved to be a very challenging project. She used the free-form piecing technique on the hockey pants, and utilized a distorted traditional block for the orange and yellow edge of the hockey ring.
